Life lately....

Has been very busy. The start of a new school year at a new school in a new(ish) grade level, a very active 3 1/2 year old has had a lot to do with that. Add in me being 10 weeks pregnant and exhausted. It's been a challenge!!

Grace started soccer (once a week) Monday nights and dance class at daycare so she is keeping busy too. Today was the first day of dance and she had to show me what she learned with her tap tap shoes, with the leotard and tights on too. She's so cute!!

We have managed to play outside some now that the weather is kind of fallish for the moment...

The Little Gym

We have been going to trial classes at the Little Gym and Grace loves it! She is always so impatient to get in there and play with Mr. Joe. She is such a good listener in class. Her daddy and I were very proud to see her listening to the teachers and following directions!

Pump it Up

We met up with Grace's sweet friend Ella(from MDO) at a place in Dallas that has two rooms full of bounce houses. It was only $7 to play for a hour and a half. It was nice because they split the kids up into groups under 7 and over 7 and keep them in their own bounce house room and then they switch half way through. The girls had a ball trying out all the different bounce houses.

After that we went to lunch at Chick Fil A, where the girls played some more.

It was a great way to play indoors today!

July

We have been very busy this month! I can't believe it's already July :(
Grace went with her dad, Omie and Pops to Kansas City at the beginning of July to see her new cousins baptism. While they were in KC, I enjoyed a wonderful trip to the beach with some wonderful friends for a wedding.

When we all got back on July 4th, we went to watch fireworks with some friends. Grace practiced riding her new bike as we waited.

We have also been to the library for storytime with her friend B.

And then they enjoyed a Picnic lunch at home.

Sunday we went to watch Aunt Leigh Leigh run in a 15K, then to brunch and swimming! Here is Gracie working on her poster to cheer on Leigh Leigh.

I am exhausted!! We have a pretty lazy week planned with a few playdates, and then we are off to our lake trip next week and then to San Antonio again. Busy!!

Sea World

We took Gracie to Sea World in San Antonio for the first time last week. We were only there for a few hours, but it was enough to wear her out! We plan on going back later on in July. The whales and Shamu were definitely her favorite.

(Sorry the pictures are out of order...can not figure out how to get them where I want them:(

Play School

Last day of Playschool- May 26th

First Day of Playschool- August 24th

I can not believe how much Gracie has changed over the year! She is such a big girl now- 3 years old, POTTY TRAINED (yay), and wearing a big girl seat belt in her car seat, among many other things!

I have absolutely loved every minute of her play school days. We were so lucky that her Miss Tina and then Miss Jessica were able to take her twice a week to playschool. Grace learned so many new things this year. She can count past ten, knows SO many letters, loves to say her prayers before we eat, and made lots of new friends at school.

Her teachers were absolutely wonderful and Grace had so much fun with them. They made us this precious "scrapbook" of pictures and activities that they did over the year that we as working parents didn't always get to see. I am amazed at how good they were with taking pictures since I sometimes lack in that area.

It makes me sad that we won't be able to have this wonderful experience again next year, but such is life. Grace will adapt wonderfully to her new school and I can only hope that I will too.

Hippity Hop

Grace had a wonderful Easter weekend with family! She hunted eggs at our church on Saturday and spent some time with her daddy.
On Sunday, she was excited to see what the Easter Bunny had brought for her and then she couldn't wait to hunt eggs outside.

We had lunch at MeMe and Gramps on Sunday and had yet another egg hunt with Molly. There were plenty of confetti eggs at both egg hunts!

Can you tell...

That Grace is NOT a morning person?! This is how I found her this morning. She is definitely her father's daughter.

February 27th

We celebrated Grace's actual birthday with my parents and Steven's parents at church, then we went to IHOP with Omie and Pops, opened a few birthday presents and then played at the house. We went to the playground that evening and then went to enjoy a delicious ice cream cone at Braums with MeMe and Gramps. A great weekend!!

Hot Dog Hot Dog Hot diggety dog!

Eating in her clubhouse with the girls...NO boys allowed they said!

3 year old!

Well, our little girl turned three on Sunday. We celebrated her birthday with a Mickey Mouse birthday party on Saturday. The weather was great and the kids were able to play outside on the swing set, in the sand box, on the bounce house, and with the Mickey Mouse bean bag toss that Steven made for her.
