4th of July

We went to the fourth of july parade in my parents neighborhood. Grace was REALLY into the candy that was being thrown from the people in the parade. We went the next night to see the Rockwall Fireworks show. She was SO excited about the fireworks! They really wore her out though! She was asleep before we even got out of the parking lot afterwards!

Reunion

We went to the 4th Annual Pesek Family Reunion down near San Marcos at the end of June. She had a great time playing with her 2nd cousins that are her age. She swam and ran around and played. We headed to Fredericksburg for a few days after that to see Omie and Pops a little bit more. She loved on Annabelle and Nester (the donkeys) most of the time that we were there.

First (and Second) Movie

We took Grace to see her first movie at the Studio Movie Grill at the end of June. They show kids movies - the same one every day for a week- at 11:00 for super cheap during the summer. We took her to see Curious George. She kept hopping from the seat with us to the seat in front of us. She did really good and made it through about 45 minutes of the movie.
Later that night we went with some friends to the drive in theater to see Toy Story 3. She had so much fun and was afraid to sit still anywhere in case she fell asleep. It was a really great night to go and she had a ton of fun!

Summer is here~

Toddler Story Time

I was finally finished with work on Monday, and we've been busy ever since! Tuesday Grace started Mother's Day Out. She did really well and was excited to go. Today we went to story time at the public library. They read a story called Freight Train, by Donald Crews. Grace loves trains, so she was all about it. They sang a couple songs and used little egg shakers. She had a great time. Hopefully we will be able to make more story times!
She has been swimming every night since Sunday and absolutely loves it! I've been doing some private lessons and she's had to go with me since Steven is at conference. She's so cute- trying to do what the 4 year old is learning at lessons and is always asking for "her turn". I'm so glad she loves the water. She wakes up in the morning asking if she is going to go swimming. It's so cute!
We have a trip to the zoo planned for this week and another day of Mothers Day Out.

Bluebonnets

A couple pictures of Grace in the bluebonnets that we have growing in our yard- in a flower bed. That tongue has been hanging out of her mouth a lot lately. She also got her first sandbox this weekend. Not really a fan of bare feet in the san just yet. We'll work on it.
Grace is signed up for Sun and Fun at the Methodist Church for 5 weeks this summer. I can't wait! She will get to play with kids her age and mommy will have a few days she gets to run errands without fighting the car seat battle! 7 more weeks!!!

Easter Weekend

We had a very busy weekend and it went by so fast! We spent most of it outside of course. On Saturday we went to the egg hunt at our church. Grace was so excited about all the eggs (and candy of course) this year and did great hunting for the eggs.
We had Easter and celebrated April birthdays with my family on Saturday as well. Grace enjoyed her new sit and spin from Aunt Emmy and Uncle "Bake".  She kept saying "weee" as she went around and around.
Sunday we went to mass and then over to my parents to hunt for eggs with one of their neighbors granddaughters.  We spent the afternoon playing at home on her swing set and planting flowers.
We signed Grace up to go to a Fun and Sun program at the Methodist church 2 days a week for 5 weeks this summer. I can't wait for her to be around other kids her age!

Molly Rose

Grace's cousin, Molly, was born on Sunday, March 14th. She was 7 lbs 14 oz - a giant compared to Grace's 6 lbs 5 oz!  This was Grace's original due date so it's kind of funny that Molly was born that day.
Grace was so cute holding her. She kept wanting to take the hat off of the baby- probably because she has more hair than Gracie does! :) Grace has visited Molly twice now and has been very good with her.

Elmo Birthday Party

Grace had an awesome time at her birthday party. As you can see, she was very excited to open her presents.
She loves the happy birthday song and has been singing it ever since her birthday. Dorothy, Elmo's fish, was decorating the table in some little glass bowls. Everybody that came in had to be shown the fish. They were a hit!
Aunt Emily and myself made this Elmo birthday cake for Grace. It took forever but it was well worth it. Grace loved her Elmo birthday cake.

TWO

Grace turned 2 on Saturday. We had an Elmo themed party. Aunt Emily and I made Grace's Elmo cake that turned out so cute! We sang happy birthday to her at 2:27- the time she was born. I will post pictures when I can get my other computer to work. It's hard to believe that Grace is 2 already. She had a wonderful time!!

SNOW much fun!

It snowed ALL day Thursday and Thursday night. We had about 10 inches of snow in our front yard. Crazy! Grace didn't like the snow much on Thursday. I was so excited for her to see it. Later that night I convinced her to get the mail with me and then she LOVED the snow. There were so many tears when we had to come in. We were at home on Friday because of the snow so she got to go play alot. She really got into the hang of it and wanted to push the snowballs around like daddy was.

Sick!

Grace has been sick the last few days- nothing serious, but enough to make us (me) crazy. Diarreaha for Miss Tina on Friday, awful sneezing and congestion this weekend, still more congestion and of course, a tooth (or two)!  She hasn't been eating or drinking her milk like she normally does so something is going on. I hope this clears up soon... Thank god for Ruby and Max- that's about all that makes her happy at home.  So thankful to have a wonderful babysitter who keeps her even when she's like this and in one of her "moods"!!

A few of Gracie's favorite things...

An Elmo kitchen from her great uncle Eddie.
A new trike from MeMe and Gramps. It will convert so she can ride it by herself when she's ready.
